My bf and I really enjoyed our visit to the museum. I commented to an employee that it felt fresh and relevant now that the exhibitions were diverse. It finally reflects the NY of today and yesterday, which was fabulous to witness. The Ginger Bread contest was also fun. The lobby smelled delicious!

Should be a tourist must. History through films, television and artifacts. Floor contents explained by guides, maps and in elevators. History film in ground floor and film on third. Small cafeteria and clean bathrooms

Museum was very cool with lots of very interesting exhibits. The staff at the front counter were rude but everything else about this museum is great. I really enjoyed the great gingerbread bake off display as well.

A nice place to learn tons about the greatest city in the world! The film section is definitely worth checking out. I sort of wish they had more to the place, but in the end it was at least worth the money spent.

The Gingerbread House Bake-off was great to see. Other exhibits were amazing. Will come back to see more.

Excellent museum. Worth going every time. At the moment there is a wonderful immersive exhibition "New York in movies". A must see! I also loved the musical display about the different boroughs and their music. Museum shop and café are fine, too. Oh, and don't miss the staircase!

It's okay but I wouldn't visit again. I expected natural and architectural history of the city but at least half of the exhibition is about the minorities fighting for their rights as if it was always the most important thing in NYC. The movie in the basement is probably the best thing to see here

Need to spend more than two hours here. So many good exhibits . The ground floor movie is where to start. The third floor dedicated to movies and art of NYC lots of fun . Check out the book room on 3 take a book place on table and listen to a few minutes from NYC book .

The museum demonstrates New York City’s history in a very interesting way, and with some interactive installations, it’s such a fun visit! There is a cafe in second floor. And many iconic stories, histories, music, images in the showroom.

First-time visit for Uptown Bounce! Music outside. Vendors selling cheap t-shirts and other items. Karate students showcasing their skills. The interactive broughs was a delight but the film showing all the movies made in NY was superb. Didn't get to visit Africa Center. Next time!
